Fort Wetherill and Beavertail State Park
Time for more pictures from last week. These are from Fort Wetherill State Park and Beavertail State Park, in Jamestown, RI. We spent the good part of the day just walking around and looking at the scenery. It's too bad it was a cloudy day, otherwise the pictures would be so much prettier. It was still a fun trip. :) I am looking forward to going back sometime this summer. The whole town is cool and the harbor is really pretty. These first few pictures remind me of photos I have seen of Acadia National Park-only with smaller cliffs. I still have to visit Acadia, can't wait!
Okay, this is almost the end of my pictures from last week! I'll have the next set up soon.

Beaches and Harbors
Here is another update from this past week. I said I would be all over New England and so I was. These are a few pictures from Watch Hill (one of the best Rhode Island beaches, and Colt Park, in Bristol, RI.) I went to numerous other places these last few days, but those will be for a different post.
These first pictures are from Watch Hill.
Watch Hill is one of the most picturesque New England towns. It is right on the harbor/bay and right over theses dunes is the ocean. I love the fact that it is not as touristy as Newport, RI.
These are the pictures from Colt Park.
I'm exhausted. Although I've not been running or doing taekwondo at all this week, I have been walking everywhere! So many parks, beaches, airshows and more! It's been a lot of fun.

Boston and Newport
Earlier this week I was in Boston, MA and Newport, RI. I absolutely love traveling and took a bunch of pictures. Unfortunately I only have one picture from Boston to post. I always forget to take pictures whenever I am there. I'm not sure why. . . I guess maybe I'm too busy enjoying the city!
From www.visitrhodeisland.com: "Named one of "50 Places of a Lifetime" by National Geographic
Traveler, this 3.5-mile picturesque walk wraps itself along Newport's
spectacular Atlantic coastline with the crashing surf on one side of the
trail and the magnificent Gilded Age mansions on the other."
Newport itself is a really cute touristy town. The beach is pretty, but not the best I've seen in New England, or even Rhode Island. From wikipedia: "Newport was also a major center of piracy during the late 17th and early 18th century. So many pirates used Newport as their base of operations that the London Board of Trade made an official complaint to the English government. . . . During the American Revolution, Newport was the scene of much activity. One of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, William Ellery, came from Newport. He later served on the Naval Committee.. . . By the turn of the 20th century, many of the nation's wealthiest families were summering in Newport, including the Vanderbilts, Astors, and the Widener family, who constructed the largest "cottages", such as The Breakers (1895) and Miramar.[17] They resided for a brief social season in grand, gilded mansions with elaborate receiving, dining, music and ballrooms, but with few bedrooms, since the guests were expected to have "cottages" of their own. Many of the homes were designed by the New York architect Richard Morris Hunt, who himself kept a house in Newport." Link Here

Airshow and a Busy Week Ahead
This past weekend I was in New Jersey to visit my brother and see an airshow. I have always loved going to airshows and used to take flying lessons a long time ago. Since my brother is currently stationed in NJ, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. (Air Force, Army, Navy) we visited him and saw the airshow.
It was a lot of fun and we saw some pretty cool aerobatics and static displays. It was not the best airshow I've ever been too, but it was still fun to see.
The weather was supposed to be cloudy all day long, so I only packed my facial sunscreen. Boy was that a bad idea. It was cloudy in the morning when we arrived, but turned very sunny very quickly. My face is fine, but my arms are horribly sunburnt. It's pretty painful! That is the last time I listen to the forecast, sunscreen is always coming with me!!!
The US Air Force Thunderbirds were the last performance. I've seem the a few times before, and I absolutely love them! When I was little I wanted to be a Thunderbird pilot. Yeah, I was really into flying. :) (I still think that would be awesome...) Anyhow, the weather decided to change abruptly and they had to end their performance a bit early. It started to downpour and storm! Luckily we weren't parked too far away!
We also got the see the Golden Knights again. They are the US Army Parachute Team.
Below are a few photos of lots of different things throughout the show. I took far too many pictures and have been to busy to crop them and make them look a little bit better. This week is and will continue to be really crazy!
I'll try to get another post up in a day or two with better photos, but it may take awhile. I'll be all over New England this week. But hey, that means more pictures of more pretty places!
These last few are towards the end of the airshow, when the rain was getting close to starting. I have far too many pictures in between to post them all.
