I have been slightly bored lately so I decided to start drawing again. I used to take art lessons all the time in high school (I was much better back then, haha.) but haven't done much in years. I was good at drawing animals but now I mainly do watercolors. For this picture I used pastels. Some of them are in a pencil form, but the majority are chalk-like. This is why I use watercolors more often, my hands don't get so messy with them! Here is my current project. It's very simple and easy.
Oh, my husband bought me these flowers yesterday as a surprise. :) They smell amazing and are gorgeous. He's great. :)
Let's see. . . They aren't finished paving the road where I run yet, and it was rainy today so I didn't get a run in. I did go to tkd class though, but it wasn't too intense today. I will definitely be going somewhere to run/walk tomorrow, I'm not waiting any longer for them to finish paving.
For dinner tonight I made a really delicious salad. I know salads don't always sound that appetizing or delicious, but this one was. Trust me. It was made with romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato and chicken. The chicken I had baked a day or two ago, and heated up on the stove with some montreal chicken seasoning and garlic powder.
I also added a little bit of mozzarella cheese and oil and vinegar dressing. It looks like there is a lot of dressing here, but I just poured it on the top and hadn't mixed it into the salad yet.
I'm pretty sure I could eat this every night and be happy. Besides, I needed the salad, I have been eating way too much Easter candy lately. My self control is horrible when it comes to chocolate. We have Dove chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate covered almonds and jelly beans. Yum. :) This is the first Easter ever that I have not had Reese Peanut Butter Eggs. It's kind of sad. They taste so good and you can't go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate. Well, now I'm making myself hungry. Time to go find something else to do to keep me occupied!
